ABOUT IRENE
Irene has a wealth of experience with equines and currently works from Devon in her livery yard where she also offers training and mentoring to those wishing to further their education in ethical and equine-centred practices. Irene's particular interests include the human-equine relationship and the study of non-captive equines.

Irene holds a number of qualifications including: Canine Behaviour, Animal Abuse, Pet Bereavement Counselling and more. She never wants to stop learning and has recently completed her MA in Anthrozoology, which she studied alongside Equine Neuroscience.

Irene has a passion and a goal for engendering empathetic human-equine relationships and works with the aim of expanding the concepts of equine advocacy. She recently wrote an insightful article for the IAABC exploring the current welfare paradigm.
As well as being heavily involved in IEP, Irene is a course writer and tutor for the DoGenius Institute, who are leaders in the animal education field. They have now released their Level 5 Diploma in Equine Welfare, Training & Behaviour, co-written by Irene. IEP have an exciting collaboration with DGI, and we are delighted that they offer a generous 20% discount off the course price for IEP members.
