A Bit About Millie
Millie is an Accredited Equine behaviourist, and Positive reinforcement trainer. Offering one to one lessons across Hertfordshire, Essex, Beds, Bucks and Cambridge, specialising in recognising pain and discomfort through behaviour, fear based behaviours, horses with past trauma, and offer Demos and talks on Equine Behaviour and welfare. Millie has been a finalist for the Equestrian Business awards 3 years running, winning Highly Commended Behavioural trainer in 2024.
After finishing her Accreditation, Millie focused on working with multiple veterinary practices, to help educate both Veterinary surgeons and students on how positive reinforcement can hugely benefit equine welfare for tasks such as taking blood from a needle shy horse and how to recognise early signs of pain or discomfort through the use of the equine pain scale and body language signals. Millie strives for change in both better welfare awareness and ethical training in larger organisations and has worked with organisations such as the Metropolitan Police and racecourses.
Millie also takes her horse Murphy the Connie around the country for positive reinforcement demos, hosts talks on Equine Behavioural Science and frequently hosts spook busting clinics across the country to help improve both knowledge and relationships with horse and owner using an ethical, force free method of training.
